Make sure you done everything in the how to connect.
Make sure you have minimum requirements to run game.

well i have win xp 64bit sp2 and what i had to do so l2 can work:
gone to lineage install dir... system folder... right clicked on l2.exe... properties... compatibility... run this program in compatibility mode for: win xp.
and also checked Allow non-administrators to run this program.

MeganFox ... first of all here is where you should post.
Second your problem:
l2 is not trying to connect to our server. Possible issues:
1. you have not placed the system folder and l2 is not trying to connect to our server ip. (make sure you deleted old system folder and copied our patch).
2. your firewall is preventing l2 from accessing internet. (check your firewall settings).
